Gamification: Whats it all about?

Understanding the frameworks of motivators and incentives that sit behind human behaviour is critical for those who wish to engage online, yet many are still unsure exactly what Gamification is or how they can use it.

For us, Gamification is a critical component of social strategy and the main ingredient that separates those who wish engage sporadicly from those who wish to build ongoing, meaningful engagement.  Gamification is not a solution in an of itself, but rather a component of strategy that allows business to influence key audiences toward particular behaviours that align and enable the realisation of company objectives.

We were recently asked to present an introduction to Gamification at an ICSP (International Customer Service Professionals) event in Melbourne. We’d be very interested to hear what people think about Gamification and how they are using it to drive value from a personal or business perspectives.

Part 1:

Part 2:

What do you think of Gamification? Where are you using it today? and what has your experience been to date? We’d love to hear your thoughs…

Well done. We have a lot of material about gamification on our website and blog. It has been in use at contact centres since 1999.
